Make your web design as plain and as direct as the site functionality and purpose allows you to.

Since the web page display mainly depends on the browser, a web designer has very little control on it. On the other hand, making a page look the same on several browsers may be challenging as well as rewarding. Keep these things in mind while creating a site:

- Various browsers and versions of browsers compatibility
- Operating system used by the online visitor
- Screen display area
- Availability of plugins and extensions

Professional web designers look at their website through the eyes of their visitors: if you are planning a site to sell products for elderly, the site layout and structure should be easy, design simple and the font size large.
